New types of tests have been mastered in the UMEK Test Laboratory
In the Test Laboratory of JSC "UMEK", accredited in the system of "Rosakkreditatsiya", the commissioning of a new test equipment - installation of test high-voltage IED 100/200 is completed. Based on the results of the work performed, the IHV 100/200 unit was officially put into operation and certified, the specialists of the equipment supplier trained the laboratory personnel in requirements to the unit operation. Specialists of the laboratory successfully conducted a cycle of test runs.
The new equipment for testing the external insulation in a polluted and humidified state under prolonged exposure to alternating voltage up to 110 kV inclusive was put into operation in Russia for the first time in the last twenty years.
The launch of the high-voltage IHV 100/200 test rig allowed the following types of tests to be extended in the UMEK test laboratory:
- insulation tests of electrical equipment with short-term alternating voltage in dry state and under rain;
- testing of external insulation in a polluted and humidified state under prolonged alternating voltage exposure for insulators and insulation structures made of porcelain, ceramics, glass and polymeric materials.
These tests will soon be included in the accreditation area of the UMEK test laboratory.
