On March 6, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Yekaterinburg, Zharas Mamutbekov, visited the glass insulators plant JSC UMEK.

In period from November 19 to 24, 2023 «YUMEK» LLC took part in an international business mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. It was organized with the purpose of conducting business meetings with the potential foreign clients due to the pre-planned arrangement.

On October 27, the IT-Cube Digital Education Center in Yuzhnouralsk hosted a regular meeting of the SPEAK Club, where a representative of our company spoke about the concept of lean manufacturing.

Video conference with participation of representatives from “UMEK Group”, “PLN” company and contractors from Indonesia took place on September 3. More than 150 foreign experts exchanged their views during this online meeting.

The environmental management system of the domestic manufacturer of glass insulators YUMEK JSC once again passed the certification procedure for compliance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 14001-2016.

UMEK GROUP LLC took participation the 2019 INMR WORLD CONGRESS, which took place in Tucson, Arizona, USA from Oct 20 to 23 as an exhibitor of PRODUCT & TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION.

International Forum “Electrical Grids” was held on VDNH in Moscow on December 4-7. This year the event first time experienced such a new form that allowed its participants to join effectively their efforts to boost Russian energy sector. More than 400 companies presented their products. Lots of panel discussions were allotted to scrutinize developments in this important area.

CIGRE Sessions are the most important biannual events of this international association. The primary goal of CIGRE Session is to provide exchange of knowledge and experience between world-wide experts of the electricity industry from generation to distribution. 3600 participants from 98 countries took part in 47^th CIGRE Session on 26-31 September in Paris.

The exhibition “Electric network of Russia-2017” was from 5 till 8 December in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, Moscow.

The 2017 INMR World Congress and the technical exhibition were from November 5 to 8 in the Spanish city – Sitges. UMEK GROUP took part in this event dedicated to insulators, arrests, bushings and etc.

Recertification audit of JSC “U.M.E.K” was finalized in relation to upgrading the standard ISO 9001:2015. TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH, the German company, one of the acknowledged leaders in field of certification of quality management system, performed the audit.

The project for building the new plant for mass producing suspended glass insulators was put into operation ten years ago. The production capacity was 3 million of pieces per year. The UMEK plant began to supply its products within two years. Nowadays, JSC “UMEK” produces 30 types of suspended and pin insulators. Moreover the growth of production capacity reached the additional 30 percent.

Glass insulators of the Russian plant JSC U.M.E.K. have been successfully tested for compliance with technical requirements of the international standards IEC in the international independent testing laboratory VEIKI-VNL (Hungary). Tests have been performed at 10 types of series-produced insulators of class 70-210 kN, including glass insulators for polluted areas: U70BS, U120B, U 120BP, U120BA, U160BS, U160BL, U160BSP, U160BLP, U210B, U210BP.
